CAD (Computer-Aided Design) operators are responsible for drafting plans, technical drawings, and blueprint drawings. Working under the supervision of the Project Manager, they collaborate with engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet specifications and comply with safety regulations. CAD Operators utilize CAD software to create accurate and detailed drawings that facilitate project planning and execution.

PROFILE OF JOB / POSITION HOLDER

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT:

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or related field. Additional certifications in CAD software usage are advantageous.

EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 2 year of experience as a CAD Operator or similar role, preferably in the engineering, construction, or architectural industry.

· Proficiency in using CAD software to create technical drawings, plans, and blueprints.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Experience with AutoCAD/MicroStation or similar software for drafting, design review, and coordination. Practical experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar programs, to create and modify technical drawings.

· Knowledge of engineering and construction principles, terminology, and standards to accurately interpret project requirements.

· Familiarity with industry-specific drafting techniques and standards, including scale, dimensions, and symbols.
