Job Summary

The Oracle Test Analyst (Accounting) is responsible for performing functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting of Oracle ERP modules related to finance and accounting. The role ensures system accuracy, stability, and alignment with business requirements by executing test plans, identifying defects, and supporting enhancements within the Oracle Financials environment.


Key Responsibilities
Functional Testing & Validation
  • Develop, execute, and document test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios for Oracle Financials modules (e.g., AP, AR, GL, FA, CM).
  • Validate accounting workflows, financial transactions, interfaces, and reporting functionalities.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify system issues, document defects, and work with technical teams to track resolution.
System Support & Troubleshooting
  • Analyze and troubleshoot accounting-related system errors and data inconsistencies in Oracle ERP.
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and external vendors to resolve functional or configuration issues.
  • Support enhancements, system improvements, and module updates by providing test coverage.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed documentation of test results, test cases, and testing milestones.
  • Prepare test summary reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Document process flows, functional requirements, and testing standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with accounting teams to understand system requirements and changes in financial processes.
  • Support end-users during system testing, training, and post-implementation activities.
  • Participate in project meetings, requirement discussions, and design reviews for Oracle-related initiatives.
Process Improvement
  • Recommend improvements to Oracle financial processes, testing procedures, and workflows.
  • Stay updated on Oracle Financials best practices and system upgrades.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience testing Oracle ERP Financials modules (AP, AR, GL, FA, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal controls.
  • Experience in functional testing, test planning, and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
