Job Summary

The Oracle Test Analyst (Supply Chain) is responsible for planning, executing, and documenting functional and integration tests for Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) modules. The role ensures system accuracy, validates end-to-end supply chain processes, and supports enhancements and upgrades by working closely with functional analysts, business users, and technical teams.


Key Responsibilities
1. Test Planning & Preparation
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and Oracle SCM configurations.
  • Identify test scenarios covering inventory, procurement, order management, logistics, and related supply chain processes.
  • Prepare test data and ensure readiness of testing environments.
2. Test Execution & Validation
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance tests (UAT) for Oracle SCM modules.
  • Validate end-to-end supply chain workflows including purchasing, receiving, inventory movement, order processing, and shipping.
  • Document test results, record defects, and ensure issues are resolved in collaboration with IT and functional teams.
3. Issue Analysis & Troubleshooting
  • Analyze system defects, identify root causes, and provide detailed documentation of findings.
  • Support technical teams in troubleshooting Oracle SCM issues, data inconsistencies, and process failures.
  • Retest resolved issues to confirm proper functionality.
4. Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed testing documentation including test cases, execution logs, defects, and test summary reports.
  • Provide regular status updates to QA leads, project managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Assist in documenting supply chain processes and system changes.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with supply chain functional analysts, Oracle developers, and business users.
  • Support business users during UAT cycles and provide clarification on test flows.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions, system design discussions, and project meetings.
6. Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend process improvements to testing practices, quality standards, and test coverage.
  • Stay updated on Oracle SCM module enhancements, patches, and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience testing Oracle SCM modules (e.g., Purchasing, Inventory, Order Management, iProcurement, WMS).
  • Understanding of supply chain processes including procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Experience in functional testing, test documentation, and defect management tools (Jira, HP ALM, etc.).
  • Basic SQL skills for validating transaction data and logs.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
