Operation Training Manager

Job Title: Operation Training Manager

Location: Philippines
Employment Type: Full-Time
Industry: Satellite and Edge Managed Services

About the Role

As a Learning and Development Manager, you will play a strategic role in enabling our organization to successfully support and scale new products and services delivered through our innovation pipeline.

Working at the intersection of product, operations, and our customer's experience, you will lead the design and delivery of learning programs that ensure our teams, especially technical, operational, and customer-facing units, are equipped with the right knowledge and capabilities to support next-generation satellite connectivity solutions and edge services.

This role will drive training as a measurable successful outcome of prepared learning prior to implementation.  This new training framework will be critical in building internal capability and readiness across functions as we expand our portfolio of managed satellite and edge services.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a targeted learning strategy aligned with our Product team's development lifecycle and go-to-market plans, ensuring workforce readiness to support new technologies and high availability service models.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering and Operations to identify training needs related to new product launches, enhancements, or platform updates.
  • Design and deliver structured product enablement programs that include technical knowledge, operational procedures, customer impact training, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Collaborate and partner with the Learning department to align with the creation of scalable, modular learning content for various audiences, including Edge Network, NOC, Field, and Customer Care teams.
  • Facilitate high-impact training sessions across multiple formats (mainly virtual, hybrid, LMS) tailored to technical learners.
  • Establish training KPIs, product-readiness metrics, and learning assessments to ensure successful adoption and performance post-product launch.
  • Integrate L&D efforts with performance management processes to reinforce product proficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Embrace cross-functional collaboration to align training timelines with product release schedules and customer onboarding plans.
  • Develop learning journeys that evolve as products mature through the pipeline, from pilot rollout to full-scale operations.
  • Stay ahead of trends in edge networks, SD-WAN, next-gen satellite communications, L&D tools, and instructional design methods to drive innovation and engagement.
  • Ensure training programs contribute to organizational and customer trust, operational stability, reduced time-to-competency, and improved user experiences post-launch.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Behavioral Science, Engineering, HR Management, Communications, or related field.
  • Certified Trainer or credentials in Instructional Design, Agile Learning, or Technical Training is a strong plus.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Learning & Development or Product Enablement, with a focus on supporting product launches or technical environments.
  • Proven experience designing and facilitating training programs for technology-driven or service-based products.
  • Experience in satellite communications, telco, managed services, or technical operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Support, and Field Ops.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Mastery of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and blended learning techniques.
  • Proficiency in content development tools, LMS platforms, PowerPoint, Excel, and other delivery tools.
  • Strategic thinker that begins to plan with a documented successful outcome.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to measure training impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support training deployment across teams or regions.
  • Willing to work on a full-time, remote basis.  Must be able to work flexible hours to support stakeholders in EMEA and AMER regions.
