Be part of our client's team as a Professional Coder I, where you'll focus on accurate coding, medical data entry, and compliance. This entry-level role lets you build strong foundations in coding conventions while working closely with experienced coders in a supportive environment.

What You'll Bring

• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred
• Basic knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn
• Expert use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CPC-A, or other coding credential preferred
• Epic knowledge/experience is a plus

How You'll Contribute

• Assist in coding, classification, and data entry of medical records
• Work on coding denials related to payer or guideline issues
• Follow documentation protocols and compliance standards
• Collaborate with senior coders to learn coding guidelines
• Participate in training to strengthen coding knowledge
• Complete assigned coding tasks on time
