Pediatric Surgery Coder

  • Assign and review ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for pediatric services
  • Code all pediatric encounters, including well-child visits, immunizations, and sick visits
  • Ensure all codes align with current regulations and payer guidelines
  • Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify and correct coding errors proactively
  • Resolve coding-related claim denials and coordinate with the billing team on resubmissions
  • Stay current on coding updates and industry changes
  • Train staff on documentation standards to support accurate coding
  • Follow team and/or client's proper procedures, policies, and methodologies as instructed.

  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

  • Minimum Qualifications: This role is offered on a consultancy basis with a minimum 6-month contract, subject to renewal based on performance and business needs.

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC AAPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS/CCS-P AHIMA)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric coding
  • Solid knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Clear and effective communication and organizational skills
  • With strong internet connection of at least 100 mbps
  • Able to work from home with reliable internet and a backup connection.
