Spillway Workforce Solutions is a staffing and business solutions company with clients in the United States and the United Kingdom.

We are looking for an Accountant with strong pro forma financial modeling and general accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare finance industry. This role goes beyond basic bookkeeping, leveraging your experience to build forward-looking financial statements that guide strategic planning and business decisions.

You'll work with the client's finance team, developing and presenting financial scenarios, assisting with audits, and contributing to ongoing planning, compliance, and reporting needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain pro forma financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow).
  • Analyze and present financial models and scenarios to internal stakeholders.
  • Document key assumptions and ensure transparency and accuracy in reporting, including explaining any deviations from GAAP (when applicable).
  • Assist in developing budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow management.
  • Support fundraising efforts and investor relations with robust pro forma financial models.
  • Perform core accounting functions: A/R, A/P, payroll, and general ledger management.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the client's finance manager to confirm accurate reporting and support the month-end close.
  • Implement and improve financial systems and processes to optimize efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Strong accounting background.
  • Experience building pro forma financial statements and strategic forecasting.
  • 2-3 years of audit experience with a focus on proper coding.
  • Strong understanding of medical audit processes and compliance.
  • Proficiency in various accounting software and Excel.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
