Data Engineer and Software Developer Officer

The Data Engineer and Software Developer plays a key role in building reliable data systems and developing software solutions that support P4A's digital transformation and operational excellence. This position is vital in ensuring the accuracy, security, and accessibility of organizational data by designing and maintaining pipelines, storage solutions, and integrations, while also creating applications that streamline workflows and decision-making.

In addition to technical development, the role provides cross-functional support through the preparation of reports, automation of processes, collaboration with different departments, and adherence to data governance and software best practices. The successful candidate is expected to balance precision and innovation, ensuring that both data and applications contribute to sustainable, efficient, and scalable business operations.

Your role have a wide range of responsibilities:

Data Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that ensure accurate, timely, and efficient data flow across systems.
• Build, optimize, and manage data storage solutions including relational databases, data warehouses, and data lakes to support operational and analytical requirements.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity by implementing validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.
• Collaborate with analysts, business teams, and decision-makers to deliver reliable datasets for reporting, analytics, and strategic use.
• Automate workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and integration to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance of data infrastructure, ensuring uptime, reliability, and security compliance.

Software Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy web and desktop applications that align with user requirements and business goals.
• Create and maintain APIs and system integrations that connect multiple platforms and enhance workflow efficiency across departments.
• Upgrade, maintain, and support legacy systems to ensure performance, security, and compatibility with evolving needs.
• Apply secure coding practices and ensure adherence to development standards, documentation, and version control protocols.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver scalable software solutions.
• Document system architecture, coding standards, and user guides to ensure maintainability and knowledge transfer.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Contributions

• Partner with stakeholders across departments (HR, Finance, Operations, CSR, etc.) to deliver digital solutions tailored to business needs.
• Drive process automation projects that enhance productivity and reduce redundancies.
• Leverage data and software insights to support sustainability initiatives and community projects.
• Support the creation of dashboards, business intelligence reports, and predictive analytics models.
• Research and recommend emerging tools, frameworks, and practices for continuous innovation.Participate in organizational digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with P4A's mission and values.
• Provide technical training or knowledge transfer sessions to empower non-technical users.

Who we need for a high-performance team:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience (3–5 years) in data engineering and software development.
• Strong skills in programming languages (Python, Java, C#, or similar).
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and APIs.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL design, and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• A proactive and reliable team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physically fit and capable of handling manual warehouse tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing stocks.
• Willing to work in warehouse conditions and adapt to a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of basic safety protocols and proper material handling is an advantage.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to take on additional tasks as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
