About the role

Here in Destine Southprime Developers, Inc., a Site Engineer plays a crucial role in the successful execution of real estate development projects by acting as the bridge between design, planning, and on-ground implementation. Their contributions directly impact the quality, timeline, and overall delivery of the project.

What you'll do

  1. Act as the main technical adviser on the construction site for electrical & auxiliary subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives.

  2. Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.

  3. Assess proposals against plans, design, and actual conditions prior to submitting proposals to cost engineers.

  4. Oversee the construction/completion of assigned units per trade.

  5. Ensure that the progress is within the approved project schedule.

  6. Guide the contractors on the ongoing activities to ensure that the target output will be met on time and within the quality parameters.

  7. Coordinate with the Materials Controller on the implementation schedule of the assigned units. Changes in dates shall be raised accordingly to avoid untimely purchases.

  8. Prepare the progress billing requests based on the completion under a billing scheme.

  9. Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications

  10. Oversee the selection and requisition of materials.

  11. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.

  12. Assess and evaluate contractor performance.

  13. Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise

  14. Prepare reports as required.

What we're looking for

  • Graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or any related field
  • Professional License is an advantage
  • Additional certifications in Construction Management, AutoCAD, or any related certifications will be an added advantage.
  • With at least four (4) years of related working experience
  • Excellent site management and team coordination skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and implement structural and architectural drawings
  • Strong understanding of Safety Standards and Environmental Regulations
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle on-site challenges independently
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) for reporting and documentation.
  • Willing to start as soon as possible
