Non-Motor Claims Assistant

OVERVIEW
Review and evaluate claim fairly and promptly, from registration to payment to Insured, third parties and service providers, in compliance to Policies, Regulations and Guidelines set by the company.
Job Description:
- Register claims, book its loss reserves and send loss advices to reinsurers.
- Review, evaluate/re-evaluate, recommend claim, establish its reasonableness and correctness, compensability or non-compensability in view of policy conditions.
- Recommend if recovery is feasible in order to minimize the losses incurred.
- Evaluate claim within the turn-around time, provide timely feedback on the status until the finality of claim.
- Acknowledge and address complaints and recommend or follow-through resolutions for customer-service improvements.
- Identify if circumstances of loss are covered based on the terms and conditions of the policy.
- Coordinate with Sales/Collection Team on policy confirmation/endorsements and/or unpaid premiums.
- Process the claim within the agreed turnaround time and process payments within the agreed credit terms.
- Post-loss review: Provide loss experiences or vital loss information in order to assist Underwriters or Sales in policy renewals or endorsements.
- Update loss information in the system.
- Handle payment request to release of settlement checks to Insureds or through intermediaries.
- Other reportorial requirements that may be requested by Sales, Underwriting, Reinsurance, intermediaries or regulators.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills – written and oral;
- Knowledge - mathematical and logical skills
- Analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Has attended Non-Life Insurance Courses / Seminars
- Graduate of 4 year College / University, preferably Business Course.
