The Assistant Operations Manager supports the overall Food & Beverage (F&B) operations by overseeing, coordinating, and continuously improving operational procedures across all outlets. Working closely with the F&B Manager, the role ensures that daily operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the hotel's service standards and business objectives. Responsibilities include supervising teams, optimizing workflows, managing resources, enhancing guest satisfaction, and contributing to financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the F&B Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic operational plans.
  • Oversee day-to-day F&B operations, ensuring all outlets function efficiently and meet established service standards.
  • Coordinate with various departments (kitchen, purchasing, housekeeping, sales & marketing, etc.) to maintain smooth operational flow and address issues promptly.
  • Analyze internal processes and identify opportunities for improvement; recommend and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, service quality, and profitability.
  • Assist in managing budgets, monitoring expenses, controlling costs, and preparing operational reports and forecasts.
  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure all outlets operate successfully, consistently, and profitably in line with hotel policies and brand standards.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a strong, high-quality hospitality image for the department and the hotel.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations in accordance with local laws and hotel policies.
  • Maximize food and beverage sales by identifying sales opportunities, supporting promotions and special events, and ensuring staff are trained in suggestive selling and upselling techniques.
  • Manage guest satisfaction by handling inquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally; propose and implement service enhancement initiatives to sustain high guest satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Assist in staff supervision, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluation to ensure a well-motivated and effective team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Tourism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a similar capacity within the Food & Beverage or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and guest-relations skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and planning abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performance teams.
  • Can start immediately.
