ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Web Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in web development and a solid understanding of digital marketing principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building high-performance, secure, and scalable websites. You will play a key role in ensuring websites are optimized, secure, and responsive across all devices while delivering a seamless user experience.

As part of our team, you will collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver functional, well-optimized websites that align with client expectations and industry best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain custom-coded websites using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and SSL.
• Build, customize, and maintain responsive WordPress websites and themes, including plugin development and core customization.
• Optimize websites for speed, performance, and core web vitals, ensuring excellent user experience.
• Implement and configure CDN services such as Cloudflare or AWS CloudFront to improve site performance and reliability.
• Conduct website performance audits using tools like GTmetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights, or similar.
• Apply coding best practices, security protocols, and data protection measures to ensure website integrity.
• Maintain and update existing websites, including content structures, plugins, and themes.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues across multiple browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and project managers to meet project deadlines and client requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest web technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously improve website performance and security.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• 1–2 years of professional web development experience, preferably with a mix of custom- coded projects.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, PHP, SSL and JavaScript.
• Experience with WordPress development, including themes, plugins, and core customization.
• Knowledge of website performance optimization and security hardening.
• Familiarity with CDN technologies (e.g., Cloudflare, AWS CloudFront) and configuration.
• Understanding of SEO best practices as they relate to web development.
• Experience with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Familiarity with MySQL and experience in database optimization.
• Knowledge of hosting environments, cPanel, domain management, and performing website backups.
• Ability to work with REST APIs and integrate third-party services.
• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles to enhance user experience.
• Experience in migrating and managing websites across different servers and hosting platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when troubleshooting website issues.
