Role Overview:

The QA Lead will oversee quality assurance activities for software projects. You will manage a team of QA engineers, define test strategies, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to maintain standards across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA engineers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA strategies, standards, and processes.
  • Design, review, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Ensure thorough coverage of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Monitor and report QA metrics, including defect trends, test coverage, and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Manage QA activities within Agile/Scrum or Waterfall environments.
  • Oversee CI/CD integration of automated tests.
  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and tooling.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Playwright, PyTest, etc.).
  • Experience with test management tools (TestRail, Jira, Zephyr).
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in web, mobile, and API testing.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • ISTQB or other QA certifications.
