We're seeking an experienced Hydraulics Engineer with Australian project experience for a specialist Building Services contractor for a home-based role in the Philippines.

Our Australian client is looking for an experienced Hydraulics Engineer with previous Australian Building Services experience to join their team and work from home in this new autonomous role. This is a great opportunity to work on design and build projects, undertake calculations, resize drawings and play a key role in delivering an exciting range of commercial projects from start to finish.

The Opportunity:

Join a growing specialist Plumbing contractor who deliver projects in the $50M-$100M project space in Victoria. They're looking to increase their capability through hiring an experienced Hydraulics specialist who can hit the ground running in this new remote  / WFH role in this new lead role.

The Key objectives of the Hydraulic Engineer is to be responsible for:

  • Hydraulic design and documentation
  • Resize, recalculate/ rework designs from minimal specifications
  • Prepare and review functional and detailed design documentation
  • Perform hydraulic designs for above and below ground services
  • Prepare fully detailed design / shop drawings in AutoCAD
  • Experienced in clash detection
  • Able to create/ amend fully compliant designs to Aus specifications

About you:

To be successful in this role, you Must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/ or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have worked on multi-million dollar commercial projects in Australia
  • You will have a strong knowledge of the Australian Building Codes and classifications
  • 3-5 years experience in Hydraulic design
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with AutoCAD and possibly Revit.
