Job description:

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor daily usage and stock levels of farm inputs and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through manual logs and digital systems.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system data.
  • Track input expiration dates and initiate timely usage or disposal.

Farm Operations Support:

  • Coordinate with farm supervisors to forecast material needs based on production plans.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of inputs to prevent delays in operations.
  • Monitor issuance and return of farm tools and equipment.
  • Implement first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory practices for inputs.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory usage and stock level reports.
  • Document losses, wastage, and discrepancies with root cause analysis.
  • Maintain records of deliveries, consumption, and internal transfers.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials in line with farm safety protocols.
  • Adhere to safety and hygiene standards for all inventory areas.

Assist in audits and inspections by providing accurate inventory data.

Work and professional experience required

  • Graduate of Agriculture, Agribusiness, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory or logistics, preferably in a farm or agricultural setting.
  • Proficient in Excel and/or inventory software tools.
  • Familiarity with farm input management and agricultural workflows is an advantage.
