PRODUCTION PLANNING AND INVENTORY CONTROL MANAGER
Job Summary
The PPIC Manager is responsible in inventory planning, materials handling, and preparation of production schedule in accordance with sales forecast or market demand. Monitors availability of raw materials in coordination with Purchasing Department.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for leading the overall department's operations and meeting of targets through effective utilization of manpower, materials, machines and methodologies at the most cost effective way:
Identify training programs needed by personnel in order for them to perform their duties safely, productively and effectively
Do performance evaluation of personnel, hire or terminate as needed.
Ensures that all equipment/ tools are always in good condition. Ensures that they are properly and efficiently utilized.
Develops work instructions, processes and SOP's aiming an efficient work flow and quality oriented processes.
Reviewing of department schedule, implementing and controlling it in order to meet plans, deadlines and budget.
Promotes and ensures safety, orderliness and cleanliness inside the plant.
Monitors production's performance through KPI monitoring and assessment, do necessary adjustments on the process as needed.
Plans production schedules and controls manufacturing through capacity planning, ordered item release, dispatch and shop scheduling and in-process expediting functions.
Conducts analysis of the production plan, finished goods and raw materials inventory level and sales forecast.
Determines, monitors and makes adjustments to the limits of capacity for work in the manufacturing and logistics departments.
Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data. Performs mathematical computations to determine reliability of manufacturing processes and tools and adequacy of manning requirements.
Job Specifications / Qualification
Educational Background:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Engineering (Industrial) or equivalent, supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation
Professional Experience:
At least 3-5 years of working experience in Manufacturing is an advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude Required:
Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business and management principles
Working knowledge in SAP and Microsoft Office
Excellent planning and organizational skill to be able to run and monitor quality control inspection process.
Ability to lead and train staff in implementing quality standard policy and procedures.
Good decision making
Observant and attention to detail, has the ability to read technical documentation such as technical drawing, inspection standards & procedures and work instructions.
Ability to communicate and raise concerns related to quality operations.
Others:
Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization and the state.
