The position is responsible for assessing and monitoring the bank's credit portfolio to ensure sound credit risk management practices. This role involves reviewing loan accounts, identifying potential credit risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal credit policies. The officer provides recommendations to enhance credit quality, minimize loan losses, and support overall portfolio health.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Review & Assessment:

  • Conduct regular reviews of the bank's loan portfolio to evaluate credit risk exposure and identify early warning signs of deterioration.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of borrowers and ensure compliance with credit policies and risk management frameworks.
  • Analyze financial statements, repayment trends, and business conditions affecting borrowers.

Portfolio Quality Monitoring:

  • Monitor the bank's credit portfolio to track delinquencies, non-performing loans (NPLs), and loan concentration risks.
  • Identify patterns or trends that may indicate potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Officers, and Risk Management teams to maintain portfolio health.

Regulatory Compliance & Policy Adherence:

  • Ensure that all credit reviews and assessments align with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) regulations, Basel guidelines, and internal credit risk policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for internal audit, senior management, and regulatory bodies.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare detailed reports on credit review findings, including recommendations for risk mitigation and portfolio improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and updated documentation of reviewed loan accounts and credit decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in credit review, credit risk management, or loan portfolio management within the banking or financial industry.
  • Strong analytical and financial assessment skills, with the ability to interpret financial statements and risk indicators.
  • Knowledge of BSP regulations, credit risk policies, and portfolio monitoring tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and risk assessment software is an advantage.
  • Willing to work in Makati (onsite).
