As we continue to grow our digital presence, we're looking for a Marketing Assistant / Email Marketing Virtual Assistant with hands-on email marketing experience to support our monthly email campaigns and ongoing social media activity.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who has real experience with email marketing and enjoys working within established systems and templates. Email marketing will be your primary focus, with social media support as a secondary responsibility.

Primary goal: Execute high-quality, well-organized email marketing while supporting consistent social media presence.

Key Responsibilities

Email Marketing (Primary Focus)

  • Create, format, and send one email marketing newsletter per month using Go High Level (GHL)
  • Ensure emails are properly formatted, on-brand, and mobile-friendly
  • Manage subject lines, basic segmentation, and scheduling
  • Review emails for accuracy, links, and layout before sending
  • Support list organization and basic reporting (opens, clicks)

Social Media Support (Secondary)

  • Add daily stories on Instagram and Facebook
  • Create, organize, and schedule static content for:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • LinkedIn
  • Create simple graphics using Canva when needed

Organization & Support

  • Maintain organized folders for email templates, graphics, and captions
  • Follow content calendars and marketing instructions
  • Communicate clearly with the marketing team regarding timelines and tasks

Work Hours

Part-Time: 10 hours per week

Schedule:

  • Flexible hours, managed independently
  • Monthly email must be completed on schedule
  • Some overlap with CST (Winnipeg time) for coordination and check-ins

Compensation

Paid biweekly via Wise

Performance review after 3 months

Hiring Process

  • Initial interview – experience and culture fit
  • Skills review – email sample or walkthrough of a past campaign
  • Final decision – based on email marketing knowledge, organization, and execution quality

Requirements

  • Proven experience in email marketing (newsletters, campaigns, or automations)
  • Experience using Go High Level (GHL) or similar email platforms
  • Understanding of email best practices (subject lines, formatting, deliverability basics)
  • Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn posting
  • Canva or basic graphic design experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Reliable internet connection
