About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join our team. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring project expenses, and supporting the overall accounting process. Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accountancy
  • Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply
  • Preferably with at least one (1) year of related work experience
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized

Duties and Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping

  • Monitors the accuracy of project invoices by cross-referencing delivery receipts, purchase orders, and other documents
  • Reviews requests for payment for suppliers and subcontractors, and submits them to the Project Accounting Assistant Manager for final approval
  • Checks project revolving funds and petty cash replenishments, ensuring accuracy and correctness of disbursements
  • Encodes check vouchers, journal vouchers, and credit memos accurately in the accounting system
  • Records proper and complete accrual for project expenses, whether paid or unpaid, at the end of the reporting period
  • Maintains proper and organized filing of all project accounting documents (e.g., check vouchers, journal vouchers, official receipts)
  • Ensures manual books of accounts for projects are updated

Expense Monitoring

  • Reviews project budgets, including staffing, work plans, and fee structures
  • Reports remaining funds available for each project's budget to the Senior Accountant
  • Provides timely financial reports and budget forecasts to Senior Accountant, Project Managers (PMs), and Project-in-Charge (PICs)
  • Prepares pre-billing reports for Senior Accountant and PMs or PICs to review
  • Prepares reports on actual project costs, working capital, and taxes
