Accounts Payable Analyst (Contract Role)
About the Role

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you'll play a key role in our Finance Operations team, ensuring invoices, expenses, and vendor payments are processed accurately and on time. Beyond transaction processing, you'll help maintain compliance, resolve inquiries, and support global payment operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You'll collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, and vendors worldwide to maintain strong relationships, streamline processes, and deliver financial accuracy. This is a great opportunity to deepen your Procure-to-Pay (P2P) expertise while contributing to automation and efficiency initiatives across the organization.

Contract Terms

This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for 5 months.

Please note—this is a contract-based role only, and there's no guaranteed transition to a regular or full-time position after the contract ends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and process global invoices in Coupa (US and non-US experience preferred).
  • Respond to employee and vendor inquiries while maintaining positive relationships.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, approvals, and account coding for vendor invoices and payment requests.
  • Partner with Procurement Ops to ensure vendor records, including W-9s and payment terms, are accurate and updated.
  • Reconcile vendor and corporate card statements, resolving any discrepancies.
  • Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with quarterly audits of expense reports identified in "high-risk" reporting.
  • Support month-end closing procedures through reconciliations and reporting.
  • Triage vendor and expense tickets, assigning to the appropriate team members for resolution.
  • Send weekly approval reminders to ensure timely invoice approval and payment.
  • Reconcile Coupa Pay virtual credit card transactions and ensure accuracy and completeness of receipts and details.
  • Support weekly global pay runs by assisting with payment escalations and ensuring urgent invoices are approved and ready for payment (including obtaining banking details and documentation).
  • Ensure adherence to KPIs and SLAs for AP processes.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests, reports, projects, and data pulls as needed.
Skills & Requirements
  • 3–6 years of experience in Finance Operations or Accounts Payable within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Coupa (required); experience with Zip, Zendesk, NetSuite, and G Suite preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • A customer service mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Resourceful problem solver, especially when processes are undefined or evolving.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly when engaging with vendors.
  • Basic understanding of General Ledger (GL) accounts.
  • Familiarity with different tax types and rates (e.g., GST, VAT, withholding, US sales tax).
