Job Summary

The Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all mechanical equipment and systems within the hotel and resort. This role ensures operational efficiency, guest safety, and smooth facility operations at all times.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & Repair

  • Conduct routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, generators, HVAC units, kitchen equipment, laundry machines, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions immediately.
  • Perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.

Equipment & Systems Management

  • Monitor the performance of mechanical systems and ensure they operate within safe standards.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, and equipment inventory.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow hotel and government safety regulations and maintenance protocols.
  • Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, repair logs, and service reports.
  • Identify potential hazards and report them to the Engineering Supervisor.

Coordination

  • Work closely with the Engineering Team, Housekeeping, Front Office, and other departments for maintenance-related concerns.
  • Communicate equipment status and downtime to the Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or vocational/technical course in Automotive, Mechanical Technology, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years' experience as a Mechanic, preferably in hotel, resort, building, or facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge in mechanical systems, engines, pumps, motors, and general equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent repairs.
  • Physically fit, reliable, and willing to work on shifting schedules.

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
