Central Warehouse Operations Supervisor

ROLE OVERVIEW

Central Warehouse Operations Supervisor oversees daily unit activities, ensuring effective management and availability of materials for internal and external clients. This role involves developing and implementing company policies, managing financial operations and budgets, and ensuring compliance with Environment, Safety, and Health regulations. Responsibilities also include monitoring warehouse service provider performance, coordinating with various departments on material disposal, and conducting building inspections. The supervisor strategically optimizes resource use while ensuring efficient service delivery to meet customer needs. Additionally, they are responsible for staff management and preparing reports for the Warehouse Management Head.

IDEAL TALENT PROFILE

The ideal talent for this role must hold a bachelor's degree in management and possesses at least five years of relevant experience, including two years in a supervisory role.

Proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations are essential.

Being organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, they must effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while exercising independent judgment and discretion.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manages the day-to-day activities of the unit

2. Participates in the development of and communication of company policies and guidelines

to direct reports for implementation

1. Ensures availability of materials/supplies to internal and external clients for operations

2. Manages the operational and financial activities of their unit to include budget and business goals

3. Ensures that all material requests by both internal and external clients are processed in an efficient and effective manner

4. Ensures building maintenance by conducting necessary inspections

5. Works with Inventory Management (IM) and Master Data Management (MDM) on material requirements and Procurement Department on material deliveries

6. Ensures compliance to all Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) -related permits and licenses and required reports; applicable legal limits that relate to ESH performance (i.e. WEM parameters, air emissions from in-use vehicles, noise, etc.) and infrastructure requirements identified during the gap analysis and identifying legal and other requirements

7. Plans and strategizes the efficient use and cost-effective optimization of resources

8. Ensures that effective and efficient services are performed to satisfy internal and external costumers

9. Monitors the performance of the warehouse service provider. Provides direction and assistance to achieve its targets and objectives.

10. Coordinates with proper offices (IMDM, Finance, Procurement of Goods and Services (POGS), Quality Assurance (QA) on the disposal of materials

11. Executes management policies; appoints, disciplines or dismisses subordinate employees (hires and fires); further, the incumbent's suggestions/ recommendations on the change of an employee's status is given notable weight

12. Prepares and maintains regular and special reports as needed by Warehouse Mgt. Head.

MINIMUM EDUCATION

• Graduate of any four-year course

WORK EXPERIENCE

• With at least five years of relevant work experience

• With at least two years of supervisory work experience
