The Audit Associate assists in the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for clients across various industries. This role involves performing detailed testing, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The Audit Associate works under the supervision of senior auditors or managers and contributes to delivering high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and conducting financial and operational audits in accordance with auditing standards (e.g., ISA, GAAP, IFRS).
  • Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial statement accounts.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of financial records, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Identify accounting and auditing issues and communicate findings to senior auditors or engagement managers.
  • Prepare working papers and audit documentation in compliance with firm and professional standards.
  • Participate in internal control testing and risk assessments.
  • Assist in drafting audit reports and management letters.
  • Develop an understanding of clients' business processes and industry trends.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional ethics at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and suggesting enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • CPA, or CIA (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other audit software/tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines.
