Job Summary

The Operational Audit Supervisor is responsible for supervising audit engagements that evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and compliance with company policies and procedures. This role ensures operational efficiency, identifies areas for improvement, and provides recommendations that strengthen governance and accountability.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and conduct operational audits across branches, departments, and business units.
  • Assess compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review business processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare audit programs, assign tasks, and guide junior auditors during fieldwork.
  • Review working papers, audit findings, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit findings and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide coaching and training to audit staff to strengthen audit quality and effectiveness.
  • Assist in risk assessment and annual audit planning activities.
  • Coordinate with management and other stakeholders to discuss audit observations and resolutions.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CIA designation preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of risk-based auditing, internal controls, and operational processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of audit tools/software is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel to branches/offices within the region for audit engagements.
