Key Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Preferably licensed Engineer

Professional Experience:

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in in construction, renovation, fit-out, or facilities management projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project documentation.

Certifications (Preferred/Required):

  • Safety training (e.g., BOSH, COSH)
  • First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Preparedness

Core Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, SketchUp, and/or other design/project management software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and project documentation.

Soft Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, handle deadlines, and solve on-site issues efficiently.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Willingness to be assigned on-site, conduct inspections, and coordinate with contractors and suppliers

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Coordination

  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to align project requirements.
  • Review design plans and technical drawings for compliance with project specifications.

2. Site Supervision & Quality Control

  • Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and workers to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare progress reports.
  • Ensure proper use of materials and minimize project wastage.

3. Cost & Resource Management

  • Assist in budget preparation and track project expenses to prevent cost overruns.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors when necessary.

4. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all site activities comply with occupational health and safety standards.
  • Implement company and government-mandated safety protocols on site.
  • Report and resolve any safety incidents or project-related risks.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain proper project documentation such as contracts, permits, inspection reports, and progress updates.
  • Prepare project status reports for management and clients.
  • Track project milestones and ensure deadlines are met.

6. Client & Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as the point of contact between the company, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Address client concerns and provide technical advice when needed.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship and timely turnover.
