We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Specialist who will be working with Connext's Client in the United States of America.

What is the job?

The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for overseeing month-end entries in complex areas of financial statements and conducting research on new, intricate accounting transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Research new accounting standards and U.S. GAAP, advising on business implications.
  • Oversee month-end postings for complex financial statement areas.
  • Drive improvements in reporting processes, policies, systems, and controls.
  • Act as subject matter expert on complex accounting matters, providing guidance.
  • Maintain robust, auditable processes aligned with accounting standards.
  • Evaluate and enhance internal controls, addressing gaps and strengthening compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience in both public accounting and corporate industry environments.
  • Preferably in a Software as a Service (SaaS) business or public accounting firm.
  • Prior knowledge of recent U.S. GAAP updates and experience implementing related process improvements is a plus.
  • Experience in a Big 4 industry environment is highly desirable.
