About the Role

This is a 12-month, full-time remote Independent Contractor role, working with international teams on both legacy modernization and greenfield projects. The position provides hands-on exposure to cloud technologies and the opportunity to contribute to impactful enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications
  • Write clean, maintainable code using Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and SQL
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver new features
  • Contribute to code reviews and learn from senior peers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with guidance when needed
  • Share ideas for improving code, tools, and processes
  • Stay curious and grow knowledge in cloud, security, and emerging technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of full-stack development experience in enterprise environments
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Java, J2EE/Java EE, or Enterprise Java
  • Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and SQL
  • Experience with a modern front-end framework (Angular or React)
  • Exposure to back-end frameworks or app servers (e.g., Wildfly, Tomcat, Spring Boot)
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL and Git
  • Comfort working in Linux environments (Ubuntu a plus)
  • Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to enterprise-scale data platforms
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS)
  • Experience with Spring Boot, GWT, or other Java frameworks
  • Understanding of identity protocols (OIDC, SSO)
  • Interest or exposure to IoT, ICS/OT security, or edge computing
