Job Summary:

Oversees all inventory-related activities to ensure accuracy, availability, and proper control of stock levels across multiple locations. This role requires strong knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and other inventory management tools to optimize inventory processes, reduce carrying costs, and ensure smooth operations in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Control & Optimization

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels, ensuring stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures aligned with industry best practices.
  • Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical counts and ERP data (SAP).

2. ERP & Systems Management

  • Lead the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP inventory modules (MM, WM, IM).
  • Generate accurate inventory reports and dashboards for management review.
  • Collaborate with IT and system vendors to resolve system-related issues.

3. Team Management

  • Supervise and train inventory staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Establish clear goals and monitor staff performance.

4. Coordination & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, and Finance to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Provide inventory data for demand planning, forecasting, and audit requirements.

5. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Lead periodic and annual inventory counts (cycle counts, wall-to-wall count).

6. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Benchmark inventory management practices and introduce automation where feasible.

Key Result Areas (KRAs):

  • Inventory Accuracy - Ensure alignment of physical stock and ERP records with minimal discrepancies.
  • Stock Availability - Maintain adequate stock levels to support production and sales demand.
  • Process Compliance - Adherence to SOPs, audit standards, and ERP transaction discipline.
  • Cost Efficiency - Reduce carrying cost, minimize stock-outs, and optimize slow-moving inventory.
  • System Utilization - Maximize use of SAP/ERP features for inventory management and reporting.
  • Team Development - Improve team capability and accountability in inventory control.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP and WMS required or other inventory systems is an advantage).
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
