The role

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server Migration/SSMA (Hybrid) professional to join our dynamic team at ARTECH TECHNOLOGY INC'. This is a contract role based in Metro Manila, offering the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the company's growth and success.

Key responsibilities

  1. Assess and plan SQL Server migrations, including analysis of existing databases and infrastructure
  2. Utilise SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) to migrate databases from various source platforms to SQL Server
  3. Ensure a seamless transition by identifying and addressing any compatibility issues or data discrepancies
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust, scalable database solutions
  5. Provide technical guidance and support to project stakeholders throughout the migration process
  6. Optimise database performance and implement best practices for security and maintenance
  7. Document the migration process and create detailed handover materials

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience (8+ years) in SQL Server database administration and migration
  2. Proven expertise in using SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) and other migration tools
  3. Excellent understanding of SQL Server architecture, features, and best practices
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex migration challenges
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information effectively
  6. Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL Database) is an advantage
  7. Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server) are highly desirable
