About the Role

This role focuses on SQL Server database administration, performance tuning, high-availability setup, and operational support for production systems. You'll troubleshoot issues in real time, manage backups and recovery, and ensure smooth deployments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases
  • Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning
  • Manage Full, Differential, and Transaction Log backups
  • Handle point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery processes
  • Implement and troubleshoot Always On, Database Mirroring, and SQL Clustering
  • Manage database linked servers and SQL Server Agent jobs
  • Support scheduled maintenance and release deployments
  • Lead root-cause analysis and resolve issues independently
  • Work across ITIL processes for smooth operational flow
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 6–8 years total experience; at least 4–6 years as a Production SQL Server DBA
  • Strong experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Capacity Planning
  • Hands-on experience with Always On, Database Mirroring, and SQL Clustering
  • Expertise in Backup/Recovery (Full, Differential, T-Log)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture & database management
Good-to-Have
  • Experience with SSIS
  • Experience with SSRS
