1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the product category, including objectives, tactics, and performance metrics. Ensure alignment with overall company goals.

2. Conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics. Use insights to inform category strategy and decision-making.

3. Oversee the selection, sourcing, and management of products within the category. Evaluate product performance and make recommendations for additions or discontinuations.

4. Drive sales and revenue growth for the category by optimizing product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional activities. Collaborate with sales teams to achieve category targets.

5. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to negotiate terms, secure favorable conditions, and ensure product quality and availability.

6. Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Work with logistics teams to manage supply chain efficiency.

7. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute category-specific marketing campaigns and promotional activities. Ensure effective in-store and online visibility of category products.

8. Analyze category performance metrics, including sales, margins, and market share. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate results and strategies to senior management.

9. Gather and analyze customer feedback and preferences to tailor the product category offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
