The Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting the sourcing, evaluation, and acquisition of both non-trade and trade items for Sunnies Inc. This role ensures supplier reliability, cost efficiency, and timely availability of materials and products needed for business operations and retail execution. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and suppliers to meet business needs while maintaining compliance with company standards.

Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Identify and evaluate suppliers for non-trade items (e.g., packaging, office supplies, store fixtures).

  • Assist in sourcing and developing trade items in collaboration with product development, merchandising, and marketing teams.

  • Conduct supplier research, cost benchmarking, and quality assessments.

  • Build and maintain relationships with reliable, cost-effective suppliers.

Purchasing & Order Management

  • Prepare and process purchase requests and purchase orders for both non-trade and trade items.

  • Monitor supplier lead times and track order status to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for delivery confirmation, discrepancy resolution, and follow-ups on delays.

Cost & Contract Negotiation

  • Support cost negotiations to secure the best value while maintaining quality and timelines.

  • Assist in drafting and reviewing supplier agreements, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and product specs.

  • Update trackers and generate reports on supplier performance, order status, and cost savings.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to internal procurement processes and approval workflows.

  • Recommend process enhancements to improve sourcing efficiency and supplier performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing; experience in both non-trade and trade procurement is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of supplier development, product sourcing, and cost negotiation.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with procurement systems or ERPs is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
