Procurement Specialist Position

This role plays a crucial part in securing and managing vendors to meet project requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing contractors, local suppliers, and international vendors/contractors based on project needs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Sourcing & Management: Identify reliable contractors, suppliers, and vendors/contractors aligned with project objectives.
  • Supplier Database Maintenance: Update and maintain an accurate database of trustworthy suppliers and vendors.
  • Procurement Support: Collaborate in pre-sales and procurement processes including canvassing, proposal gathering, and initial vendor negotiations.
  • Cost-Benefit Analysis: Conduct thorough cost-benefit analysis and vendor comparisons for endorsement to the Senior Procurement Officer for final review and approval.
  • Site Support: Conduct site visits to ensure proper mobilization of manpower, deliveries, and equipment.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor Cebu-based projects and report updates to the Manila Procurement team.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports, documentation, and procurement records. Assist in other administrative tasks assigned by the Procurement Department.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction or related industries.
  • Background: Background in procurement and construction is required.
  • Location: Must be based in Cebu and able to work remotely with minimal supervision.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written). Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools. Has initiative, problem-solving skills, and time management ability.
