Alba Renewables is a fast-growing renewable energy business delivering sustainable power projects across Southeast Asia. As part of the current expansion plan to support new institutional investment, we are seeking a dynamic
Head of Legal & Compliance
to become part of the senior management team and spearhead our legal and compliance function.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced lawyer who can balance commercial objectives with legal and regulatory compliance in a high growth, cross-border renewable energy platform.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the legal strategy for Alba Renewables and provide counsel to Board of Directors and senior management.
  • Oversee corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead regional colleagues with the support of external counsel to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts (EPC, O&M, PPAs, joint ventures, M&A, and project financing agreements).
  • Manage litigation, disputes, and external counsel relationships.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing legal team across the region.
  • Partner with business units to enable growth while managing legal and regulatory risks.

What We're Looking For

  • Law degree (JD/LLB) with bar admission in at least one jurisdiction (Singapore, Philippines, or Thailand preferred).
  • 12+ years of post-qualification experience
    , with at least 5 years in a senior legal leadership role.
  • Proven track record in
    corporate law, energy projects, project financing, and cross-border transactions
    .
  • Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related industries is a strong plus.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English (knowledge of local languages in SEA is an advantage).
