Role overview

Lead the legal and compliance workstream for a fast-scaling EV charging network in the Philippines. You'll be the go-to counsel for commercial contracts, regulatory and permitting with LGUs and utilities, corporate governance, disputes, and risk management—enabling safe, compliant, and on-time rollout.

Key responsibilities

• Commercial contracting
  : Draft/negotiates LOIs, MOUs, MSAs, leases, concessions, revenue-share, EPC/O&M, supply & service, and NDAs; build contract templates, clause library, and playbooks.
• Real estate & site development
  : Support site acquisition (malls, fuel stations, parking, mixed-use), diligence on title/encumbrances, access, easements, and landlord obligations.
• Regulatory & permitting
  : Advise on EV/energy rules and permitting with
  LGUs, DUs (e.g., Meralco and other distribution utilities), and NGCP
  ; coordinate licenses/clearances (building, electrical, fire safety, environmental) and interconnection documentation.
• Data, payments & consumer
  : Ensure compliance with
  Data Privacy Act
  (NPC), e-payments, consumer protection, and customer T&Cs for public charging.
• Compliance & ethics
  : Establish policies on anti-bribery/anti-corruption (FCPA/UKBA principles), conflicts of interest, gifts/hospitality, third-party due diligence, and sanctions screening.
• Governance & corporate
  : Maintain corporate records, board/stockholder actions, authorizations, and powers of attorney; oversee secretarial requirements and external counsel.
• Disputes & claims
  : Manage pre-litigation negotiations, mediations, regulatory responses, and outside counsel for disputes with landlords, vendors, customers, or government.
• Insurance & risk
  : Structure insurance program (CGL, contractors' all-risk, property, cyber, D&O); support incident investigations and corrective actions with Operations/EHS.
• Training & enablement
  : Run legal training for BD/Development/Ops on contract hygiene, competition law (PCC), data privacy, and EHS-linked legal controls.
• Cross-border alignment
  : Partner with Group Legal on cross-border procurement, IP, branding, technology (OCPP platform/vendor), and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Philippine
  Attorney-at-Law (bar passer)
  with
  7–10+ years PQE
  in energy/infrastructure/real estate/telecom/technology.
• Proven experience drafting/negotiating
  leases, concessions, EPC/O&M
  , and multi-site frameworks.
• Strong grasp of
  Philippine regulatory landscape
  (LGU permitting, DU interconnection practices, fire/environmental clearances, data privacy, competition, consumer law).
• Comfortable working directly with business leaders, negotiating with landlords/utilities/regulators, and managing outside counsel and budgets.
• Excellent contract drafting in
  English

  ; high ownership and speed under ambiguity.
