About the role

Skyworld Financial Holdings, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a full-time Senior Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and reporting of our organisation. What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
  2. Overseeing the general ledger and ensuring all accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis
  3. Analysing financial data and providing insights to support strategic decision-making
  4. Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
  5. Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support
  7. Continually identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

  1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification (preferred)
  3. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting
  4. Proficient in the use of financial software and data analysis tools
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  8. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

a) Financial Reporting and Control 

  - Ensures accounting records are timely updated 

  - Assist in preparation of monthly financial reporting package in coordination with the HQ Finance Team 

  - Preparation of annual financial statements for submission to SEC/ HQ 

  - To assist in liaising with the external auditors 

  - To assist in reviewing and updating of Company policies, internal controls and procedures. 

b) Treasury 

  -To assist in preparation of cash budget and forecast 

 - Monitor the funds and ensures optimal fund balance utilization 

c) Taxation 

 - Preparation, filing and payment of tax returns applicable to the Company such as Value Added Tax, Documentary Stamp Tax, Withholding Taxes on Compensation, Expanded Withholding Tax, Final Withholding Tax, Quarterly Income Tax and others 

 - Submission of Alphalist such as SLSP, QAP and BIR Form 1406C alphalist 

d) SEC Compliance 

 - Submission of financial related reportorial requirements to SEC such as Annual Information Statement,  and Annual Financial Statements (LCFS)

e) Other adhoc tasks, as applicable.
