About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic Specialist to join the team at Isteel Inc. in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for performing detailed mechanical inspections, diagnoses and repairs on a variety of vehicle models. Maintains complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems in vehicles or industrial equipment, using specialized tools. As a key member of our skilled automotive team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our fleet is kept in top condition.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnostics: Use computerized tools to identify issues in engines, transmissions, brakes, HVAC, and electronic systems.
  2. Perform skilled repair work to rectify identified problems, including maintenance, servicing and part replacements
  3. Dismantle, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical components and systems
  4. Test repaired vehicles to ensure they meet safety and performance standards
  5. Maintain detailed records of all repair work completed
  6. Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced mechanics as required
  7. Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in automotive mechanics or a related trade
  2. Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience as a mechanic, with expertise in diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle issues
  3. Strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities
  4. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
  5. Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused approach
  6. Commitment to safety procedures and workplace regulations
  7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
