Job Summary

The Manual QA Analyst ensures that all business requirements are properly analyzed, translated into functional specifications and test cases, and that all software releases conform to agreed functions and quality standards. This role involves performing manual testing, documenting test results, validating defect fixes, and ensuring adherence to QA processes and organizational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities1. QA Process & Testing Execution

  • Comply with the organization's defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and CMMI standards.
  • Apply various testing approaches — System, Integration, and Regression testing.
  • Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and requirement traceability matrices (RTM).
  • Execute test cases accurately and report software defects with clear documentation.
  • Perform defect verification, functional, and regression testing for software releases.
  • Prepare and submit Test Summary Reports and/or Acceptance Test Certificates.
  • Participate in peer reviews of QA deliverables.
  • Recommend improvements to test results and ensure compliance with QA processes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA standards and procedures.

2. Administrative

  • Record QA activities and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with CMMI procedures.
  • Prepare and submit required QA reports.
  • Mentor and guide Junior QA Analysts.

3. Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Coordinate with the development and support teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and cooperation to support project continuity.

4. Learning & Development

  • Continuously expand knowledge of business processes and IT systems.
  • Stay updated on current technologies, tools, and QA practices relevant to the role.

5. Other Duties

  • Perform other QA-related tasks as assigned by the immediate superior.
