Job Summary:

The Purchasing Staff of PJMEPP Constructions Inc. is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and monitoring materials, equipment, and supplies needed for general building projects. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at the best possible prices, maintains accurate purchasing records, and coordinates with suppliers and project sites to support smooth construction operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and review purchase requests from project sites and departments.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) in accordance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams for the delivery schedule of construction materials.
  • Verify and reconcile delivery receipts, invoices, and purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, price lists, and purchase documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate supply for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Assist in negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and standards.
  • Coordinate with the Accounting and Warehouse departments for payment processing and material monitoring.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or any related field.
  • Experience: At least 1 years of experience in purchasing or procurement; experience in the construction or general building industry is an advantage.

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control procedures.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic purchasing systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Team-oriented and able to coordinate effectively with other departments and suppliers.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based position with possible coordination at project sites or supplier locations.
