Souck isn't a regular digital agency — we're a growing movement helping blue-collar and community-based SMBs reclaim the respect they deserve. We tell their stories, grow their brands, and equip them with the digital power to compete with the big players.

We're seeking a Content Manager to lead our storytelling pillar — the engine that brings Canada's local entrepreneurs to life through words, videos, and strategy. You'll work with a tight-knit remote team to shape our voice and the stories we tell.

You'll lead:

  • Two content specialists (research + story sourcing)
  • A full-time designer / video editor
  • A Community Manager who also handles Souck's own digital marketing

Responsibilities & Impact:

  • Design and execute Souck's national content strategy (7 themes: Neighbourhood Corner Shop, Canadian Trades, Legacy Builders, Shop Grit, Community Heroes, Women in Trades, Team Behind Souck).
  • Transform raw SMB stories into multi-format content (blog features, reels, short docs, LinkedIn series).
  • Guide visual direction with our designer — ensuring every story aligns with Souck's movement voice.
  • Collaborate with the Outreach and Growth pillars to keep our mission clear and consistent.
  • Mentor team members through Souck's Canadian Information Library training.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or Digital Media.
  • 4 + years experience in content management or editorial strategy.
  • Proficiency in digital storytelling, SEO, and social media campaigns.
  • Excellent English writing skills and cross-cultural communication.
  • Full-time availability (40 hrs / week) — no other jobs or projects during contract.

Compensation: $400 – $600 USD / month (starting), with a monthly performance review for 3 months. Potential long-term conversion contract conversion after 3 months with a higher compensation package.

Work Hours: Flexible but ideally 10 AM – 6 PM EST for effective collaboration with team members in Canada
