Australian-based grocery comparison and savings platform helping families tackle the cost-of-living crisis. We empower users to compare grocery prices across major retailers, plan smarter weekly shops, and save automatically.

We're entering a high-growth phase and are introducing a Prompt Engineer / AI-Technical Project Lead to accelerate product development, improve communication, and embed AI automation across the business.

Role Purpose

This hybrid role combines technical project management, AI automation, and hands-on development.

You'll use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to streamline how we plan, code, test, and document helping the team move faster and smarter.

You'll also lead the initiative to train AI systems on our own data, architecture, and processes so we can drive automation not only in development but across marketing, data, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimise the dev workflow using AI-assisted tools.
  • Translate product requirements into clear, detailed technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with Technical Lead to plan and manage sprints.
  • Oversee day-to-day communication with developers
  • Automate reporting from Git, ClickUp, and Slack for leadership visibility
  • Develop and refine AI prompts and workflows for faster coding, QA, and documentation.
  • Train internal AI models on Grocerizes data and system structure.
  • Identify and implement AI integrations that improve team efficiency.
  • Continuously test new AI tools that could accelerate development or business performance.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years' experience in software development (front-end or full-stack).

    Proven experience using AI-assisted dev tools (Copilot, Cursor, GPT-4, Claude, etc.).

    Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, , , GraphQL, AWS Amplify.

    Familiar with Agile project management and tools like ClickUp, Jira, GitHub Projects.

    Excellent English communication skills written and verbal.

    Knowledge of prompt engineering, automation scripting, and data workflows.

    Curious, experimental, and comfortable learning new AI technologies.

    (Bonus) Experience in consumer tech, SaaS, or marketplace startups.

Technical Requirements

  • Should have personal and working laptop/ Desktop, and one (1) back up
  • Has Noise-cancelling headset (for interview and meetings)
  • Back up internet connection (at least 100 mbps)
