The Merchandise (Brand) Manager is responsible for the formulation of financial, marketing and promotional plans and strategies in order to meet sales objectives. The MM ensures profitability, efficient operation and continued growth of the department.  The MM coordinates with other functional groups to ensure effective implementation of the plans for the brand/category. The MM acts as the main contact person between the principals and the division.

Education

Graduate of a 4-year course related to Business Management

Skills, Knowledge, Attributes and Competencies

  • Requires good computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills and knowledge in word processing applications
  • Advanced knowledge in budget, financial statements, strategic marketing and trend forecasting
  • Requires excellent skills in Merchandise Management and Brand Management
  • Requires extensive knowledge of beauty and market trends
  • Creative/innovative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and good in math
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills
  • Strong leadership skill

Experience

At least 5 years of relevant experience in brand, sales and inventory management in cosmetics, perfumery, and toiletries.
