What you'll be doing

  1. Manage project development from initiation to closure

  2. Sets up the estimates, the budgets and the construction timetable for the client  and develops  the construction strategy

  3. Selects the subcontractors and workers and provides explanations for the builders and other professionals associated with the project, coordinating, and collaborating with the architects, engineers and specialists.

  4. Handle and evaluate all forms of Communications (Billing etc.) from End-user/Client

  5. Evaluate Subcon Billings based on reasonable and accurate unit cost and quantity.

  6. Ensures the construction project complies with all building codes and any other legal or regulatory requirements.

  7. When delays or problems occur – as they always do – the construction manager is the project's first responder, ready to make the changes required to move the project past the issue.

  8. Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks and resource requirements; resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas; develop methods to monitor project or area progress; and provide corrective supervision.

9.  Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meeting with all sub – contractors and labourers.

  1. Periodic inspection of construction sites.

11.  Ensure project documents are complete.

12.  Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claim

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in construction project management.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a valid professional license.
  3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and project life cycle management.

4.Ability to plan and organize a team effort

5.Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams

6.Good understanding of building systems
