This is a remote position.

Schedule:  Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (US Eastern Time, Delaware)

Total Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Our client is seeking an Interpreter Manager / Compliance Officer to lead high-volume interpreter recruitment, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee fast-paced interpretation projects. In this role, you will supervise a small remote team, coordinate urgent assignments, and build strong relationships with interpreters. This position is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives under pressure, demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, and is committed to driving operational excellence in the language services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Lead interpreter recruitment and onboarding to meet monthly activation targets

  • Manage and maintain an active interpreter database, ensuring high retention rates

  • Coordinate project assignments, including urgent requests with rapid turnaround times

  • Confirm interpreter availability, connectivity, and assignment attendance

  • Supervise and mentor remote assistants, schedulers, and interns

  • Develop training programs and foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment

  • Oversee compliance by monitoring interpreter time logs and required documentation

  • Drive process improvements and implement new technologies for efficiency

  • Execute cold-calling campaigns and support interpreter engagement initiatives

  • Report on project status, team performance, and interpreter satisfaction

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of project management experience (language services industry preferred)

  • Proven experience managing large-scale recruitment or vendor networks

  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising remote teams

  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Proficiency with platforms such as Boostlingo, WhatsApp Business, and AI tools

  • Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and database management

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Results-driven mindset with strong adaptability and cultural awareness

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, etc.)

  • Multilingual proficiency

  • Prior experience in interpretation, translation, or vendor management

  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools

  • Strong data analysis and reporting expertise
