Job Summary
The Chef de Partie (CDP) is responsible for supervising a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring food preparation, cooking, and presentation meet the highest standards of a 5-star dining experience. The CDP will lead junior staff, maintain kitchen hygiene, and contribute to menu innovation while working closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of an assigned kitchen section (e.g., grill, sauces, larder, pastry, etc.).
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in line with the restaurant's standards and guest expectations.
- Supervise, train, and motivate Commis Chefs and Kitchen Helpers to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure portion control, waste minimization, and proper use of ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with HACCP and 5-star food safety standards.
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items in collaboration with the culinary team.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Work closely with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service during operations.
- Uphold company values of professionalism, excellence, and teamwork at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie in a fine dining or 5-star hotel/restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, international cuisines, and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver consistently during peak service.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to high culinary standards.
- Flexible and adaptable to different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education & Experience
- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Chef de Partie in a 5-star or fine dining establishment.
- HACCP/Basic Food Hygiene certification preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php21, Php28,000.00 per month
