Job Summary

We are seeking a Design Team Lead to oversee and elevate the performance of Division 3's design team. This role reports to the Design Project Manager and is responsible for both creative direction and operational leadership—ensuring the team delivers high-quality, timely, and impactful design work across brand, print, packaging, and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing design teams, driving accountability, streamlining workflows, and fostering collaboration with content and project management. Success in this role means balancing creativity with efficiency while developing team members and aligning output to brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and structured training to ensure individual and collective success.

• Oversee workload distribution, ensuring tasks are prioritized, deadlines are met, and deliverables maintain a high standard of quality.
• Establish accountability within the team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, at scale, and to specification.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to strengthen skills and efficiency.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team culture that values creativity, ownership, and continuous improvement.

• Project Oversight & Execution

• Own the output of the team—ensuring design deliverables meet brand, technical, and creative requirements.

• Set team vision and strategy based on client briefs, brand guidelines, and business goals.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while maintaining efficiency and quality.
• Implement and enforce quality control processes to guarantee excellence across all work.

• Creative Direction & Innovation

• Define and communicate the artistic vision for Division 3 designs.

• Spearhead creative problem-solving for complex design challenges.
• Stay current with eCommerce, digital, and graphic design trends to continuously improve team output.
• Lead workshops and training sessions to upskill the team on tools, processes, and best practices.

• Collaboration

• Partner with content and project management teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment on goals.

• Provide timely updates on team progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Other Duties

• Support onboarding and integration of new team members.

• Perform additional related responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading and managing a design team, with a track record of delivering quality creative work on time.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in graphic design, art direction, or advertising.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom).
• Experience with UI/UX design tools (Figma, Adobe XD).
• Demonstrated ability to manage workloads, enforce timelines, and ensure quality control.
• Strong research, conceptual, and typographic skills.
• Knowledge of mobile-first design and universal design principles.
• Experience preparing creative briefs, wireframes, storyboards, and presentations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills with a results-oriented mindset.
• Amenable for midshift schedule and hybrid set-up.
