We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Engineer to support our histopathology

medical devices and laboratory equipment. The Service Engineer will be responsible for the

installation, calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance, and repair of histopathology instruments such as tissue processors, embedding centers, microtomes, cryostats, and staining systems. This role ensures reliable performance of equipment in clinical and research laboratories while providing excellent technical support and training to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation & Commissioning: Deliver, install, and configure histopathology equipment
  • at client laboratories, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct scheduled servicing and performance verification to maximize uptime and prolong equipment life.
  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose technical problems, perform on-site repairs, or
  • Calibration & Quality Assurance: Ensure instruments meet regulatory and quality
  • Technical Support: Provide prompt assistance to clients regarding equipment usage,
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service logs, maintenance reports, and
  • Customer Training: Conduct user training sessions for laboratory staff on proper
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales and applications teams to address client
  • Spare Parts & Inventory: Manage and request spare parts required for maintenance and
  • Compliance: Adhere to health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to medical devices and laboratory environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and Electronics
  • At least 2–3 years of experience servicing medical devices, preferably in histopathology,
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Familiarity with laboratory standards (ISO, CAP, DOH, FDA) and safety protocols.
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel and provide on-site support across client laboratories.

Preferred skills

  • Hands-on experience with tissue processors, microtomes, cryostats, and staining
  • Certification or training from histopathology device manufacturers (e.g., Leica, Sakura,
  • Knowledge of laboratory workflows and histopathology processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documents.

Work Environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
