About the role

Sodexo On-Site Services Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team in Pasay City, Metro Manila. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of the mechanical systems within our facilities, playing a crucial part in maintaining the organisation's standards of excellence.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimise disruptions and ensure the continuous operation of our facilities
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential problems and extend the lifespan of mechanical assets
  • Collaborate with the wider facilities management team to coordinate and prioritise maintenance activities
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and submit reports as required
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior engineering staff as needed

What we're looking for

  • Possession of a valid Mechanical Engineering license
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the commercial or industrial sectors and Hotel sectors
  • Strong technical expertise in the maintenance and repair of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance management software and tools
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance
