Job Responsibilities:

  • The Corporate Governance Officer works with various business units of SM Prime Property Group; regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Philippine Stock Exchange, and Corporate Governance (CG) organizations and rating agencies to help:

-Ensure the successful implementation of corporate governance standards in the organization's culture, successful completion, improvement, and compliance with various external and internal requirements, and other CG and risk-related tasks.

-Provide support in ensuring compliance with SEC directives relevant to mitigating Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) Risks and the new requirement on Sustainability Reporting Guidelines and Sustainability Report (SURE Form) of the SEC.

-Monitor ESG metrics/ performance relevant to the requirements of rating agencies/ESG research companies promoting best practices.

Job Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year business course.
  • With at least 3-4 years of relevant work experience
  • Preferably with certification/s or training/s or related to ESG/CG/Compliance
  • Preferably with experience working in a publicly-listed company
  • Preferably with at least 3-4 years' experience in the following areas:

-ESG principles, standards, and regulations

-Corporate Governance principles, standards, and regulations

-Compliance Monitoring

-Project Management v Stakeholder Management

-Business Writing

-Highly organized, attention to detail, and results-oriented.

-Must possess excellent oral and written English and Filipino communication skills.

-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with different levels of stakeholders.
