Job Summary

The Delivery Helper is responsible for the safe delivery of DDC's products and goods to a customer on a scheduled time, date and to a prescribed area within a given period of time. He also serves as the human link between the customer and DDC.

Duties and Responsibilities

Route and Delivery Management

Receives, accounts, secures, handles, and loads all stocks assigned to his routes,

Assists the Dispatcher to locate and identify all boxes tagged for his assigned route,

Assists the Dispatcher and Pick and Pack representative in counterchecking of packed stocks if there are discrepancies,

Knowledgeable of all delivery routes and alternate routes,

Implements all required company directives and other matters that would improve delivery procedure,

Ensures that all deliveries must be accounted for and on schedule,

Ensures the safety of the products while in the process of delivery to different customers,

Ensures the organized loading and unloading of stocks to and from the delivery vehicle,

Provides optimal customer service to both internal and external customer,

Immediately reports to the Supervisor all issues, concerns, and/or suggestions of the customer for immediate action,

Maintains a high standard of delivery services, and

Assists the Delivery Driver in the maneuvering of the delivery vehicle for faster and safety procedure;

Sales services

Assists the Salesman in delivering goods to the customers,

In the absence of the Salesman, works together with the Delivery Driver in ensuring that all orders are accounted for, delivered, and received by the customers in accordance with the Invoice, and

Coordinates with concerned Salesman all stocks retrieval from the customer and issues and concern of customers;

Maintains Safety, Security, and Integrity

Follows all safety policies and procedures of DDC,

Reminds the Driver to properly observe traffic rules and regulations in the delivery process of products and goods to different customers,

Ensures the safety of the products inside the vehicle,

Assists the Driver in the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle through regular maintenance and vehicle check-up,

Ensures the safe delivery of the products without any delay or damage,

Treats all personnel, customers, and others with the policy of respect in mind, and

Observes proper decorum and corporate image in and out of the office.

Others

Supports the Asst. Operations Manager and Admin. & Operations Manager in developing programs, policies and procedures relative to the improvement of the Department and its services;

Abides by the company rules and regulations implemented with regards to policies and procedures, health and safety, quality management, and in the Employee's Handbook; and

Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Asst. Operations Manager and Admin. & Operations Manager.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed for the Job)

Educational Requirements

At least High School Graduate

Competency

Has experience working in a distribution company

With professional driver's license restriction A, B

Essentials

Ability to work under work pressure

Ability to work in long work hours.

Desirable

Demonstrates attention to details and accuracy of work
